Nashville
Unfortunately, Y wasn't feeling too well today. She has had a bit of a tickly cough, which she felt may be going to her chest, so she stayed in bed. I got her something to eat and made her coffee and then I went to the local mall to see if there was anything to buy. Walked around there for a couple of hours- bought lunch for Y and then came back to hotel. Tonight we are going for a tour Nashville Nights and Lights which starts with a Southern BBQ dinner, which was mainly baby back ribs and pulled (shredded) chicken. The ribs were very tasty the chicken was a bit dry, but you can't have everything.

We then went on a tour of the city and started off on Broadway where all the bars and honky-tonks are. It is really very lively and most of the places have live bands playing, mainly, country music. We took in the historical and interesting sites. We saw the divide line between North and South when the war ended which is now a part of the history museum of Nashville and which has been laid out beautifully in the Centennial Park.

From there we went to the district where all the studios and publishing houses are situated, and then to the State Capitol. We were then let loose to wander by ourselves and we decided to take a horse and carriage drive - about 35 mins - and had a nice discussion with the driver, but didn't see many sites.

We then decided we had to go into one of the honky tonk places, Baileys, and Y saw one which had a roof patio, so we decided to go in there and have a drink and listen to the music. Needless to say we never found the patio, but we did have a drink and then met the bus to come back to the hotel.
