Las Vegas - Day 3 (Grand Canyon)

Had breakfast in good time and were then picked up - by limo - to be taken to the airport.

The Helicopter

Took off from McCain Airport and started flying over Las Vegas. Quite amazing to see the strip in daylight.

Helicopter - self portrait
It took about 30 minutes to actually reach the Grand Canyon.  On the way we passed over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam, which was phenominal.  It is really impossible to describe the feeling of flying over the terrain and seeing the various rock formations.  So I will just download some photos of the scene. A took some photos too, so will add them to this blog when I download them.

Las Vegas from the air

Went to the Eiffel Tower tonight for dinner as it was Y's birthday. Had a really excellent meal and then went up to the scenic deck and saw Las Vegas from a different perspective.

It was a great evening and we ended it with a post-prandial drink at the Bellagio.

Off to see the rest of LV tomorrow.
