Las Vegas - Day 4

As it was Y's special birthday today, we started the day late with brunch.and then bought tickets for the bus, so that we could "do" The Strip.  We first went to Luxor to see the Sphinx and Pyramid.  The temp was 109 F today, so it was pretty hot.  We went inside the Pyramid and ended up in a Mexican Cantina.  Y & I drank Bloody Marys and A had a couple of beers.  As we mentioned that it was Y's birthday, the barman didn't charge for her drink.

From there we caught the bus back to downtown LV.  Freemont Street is the original street where LV first began.  The Golden Nugget was the first casino built there - and it still stands.  We found a Starbucks there, so had a sit-down with a drink.  After a bit of a walk, we found the bus back to The Strip.  Y and A went to The Venetian Hotel to see if they could find a restaurant for dinner, while I went into Caesar's Palace to check it out.  What an amazing place.  I walked miles (or so it seemed) until I found the way out.  I then caught the bus back to the hotel.

We met up again at about 8.00 pm for dinner and were going to go to and Italian-style restaurant in The Venetian, but the bus we caught did not stop there.  It stopped outside The Wynn so we went in there instead and found a really nice seafood restaurant called Lakeside.  There was no place on the balcony, so we sat near the window.  They had a screen on which various entertainment was played.  The funniest one was a frog singing.  We were all glad that we had ended up there.  The food was excellent and it was fun.
